sifuCJC reviewed A Fatal Grace by Louise Penny
Hanging on...
3 stars
There's a good writer in Penny. In this and the previous book, her first chapters are wonderful, very evocative. And when she's talking about the detective work, it's very clear.
But in between, the jumps to first person thoughts and unattributed dialog is so confusing. The flow just keeps getting interrupted.
I was going to stop with this one, but at the end there was a cliff-hanger of a meta-plot. And dammit, I have to try one more...
