Più uno splendido episodio flashback per farci conoscere finalmente il passato di Sloane.
Come dicevo nella prima recensione, la trama orizzontale si infittisce. sempre come dicevo nella prima recensione, "roba leggera", insomma. Cerrrto. A parte i temi del libero arbitrio, dell'identità personale versus le imposizioni del mondo, delle ingiustizie carcerarie...
Fairy Tale X-Files!
I really like new takes on old tales and this is no exception.
The reader follows the exploits of an ATI field team lead by Henrietta (Henry) Marchen (Märchen = german for fairy tale) as they try to manage so called memetic incursions where fairy tales try to enter and affect the reality as we know it.
Apparently the book started out as a serial novel, which is very obvious when reading it as a single finished work. The protagonists were (re)introduced a number of times (Jeff is still the archivist ... Henry is unnaturally pale due to her status as a Snow White etc).
I enjoyed Mary Robinette Kowal as narrator though I found some of her male voices a bit overdone.
