While I like eco's writings, this book was very disturbing to me. Seeing the hate and discrimination that was prevalent in Europe, along with the parallels I see in today's society, really made me uncomfortable.

If that was the objective of the book, it succeeded incredibly well, but it doesn't make me happy.
