@vmousseau@millefeuilles.cloud I would love to read it again as part of a book club or something as I think I would enjoy discussing it with other gay men as I read different sections. My husband and I both read it around the same time so had some great discussions.
I need some time to process in my mind but fascinating stories and insight into the minds and experiences of many gay men. I recognised some things about myself, people I know (or have known) and very interesting perspective on the shame we experience from growing up gay without role models or validation.
Time to brush up my change management knowledge and practice. I took the course back in 2016 and that pandemic rather required a different sort of change management skills!

I read the subtle art of not giving a f*ck which has some good advice about priorities. This book however gets to the core of how to listen to your emotions and see what they are telling you (and how to be happier when you have). So shields down, open your mind and read this quick book to be more in touch with those emotions.
That did not take long but it was a good read with lots of interesting ideas. I found some of the stories of patients quite moving. I do believe this is a good way to approach life through understanding what our emotions are telling us rather than just not giving a f**k. Lots (and I mean lots) of the F work throughout - but I guess if that bothered you, you would not be reading.
The authors do a great job at trying to tell a story from a photo album and very basic historical records plus information about the historical period.
It is worth looking at the pictures as they are so interesting but spend the time to read the narrative too.

A very Canadian political drama and exciting thriller rolled into one. Set in Ottawa around Parliament Hill (pre-renovation and closure of Centre Block).
I enjoyed reading this book and of course sent me in a bit of a wikipedia rabbit hole about the last days of Saigon and some of the history. Mullins has a simple readable style. I will aim to read more of his books.
