Reading the Ebook. So far, it's really interesting. It's a social history of the evolution of artificial light. I love social histories because I get to learn about how regular people actually lived during the time periods discussed.

I am slowly reading this book while I have free time at work. I really enjoy these short stories. They move quickly and I like that they are by different authors because each one is so different and I love all the perspectives.

Listened to the audio book. It's about 15 hours. It's so, so interesting. It's well written and easy to understand. It will have you looking at the world and yourself a little differently. The whole book is an exercise in thought. I really enjoyed it.

Just finished Listening to this audio book. I found it so, so fascinating. I love how the author pulls from the fields of anthropology, sociology, psychology, and philosophy and more to explain how humans have adapted and changed as a species. While it draws from a lot of academic disciplines, it is not written at an inaccessible level. It's for regular people to learn and enjoy. It moves quickly and is never boring. So much to learn!

I haven't read a book like this. I knew nothing about the book before I started reading it and it was quite a literary journey. It's part fantasy, part fiction, part nonfiction, spiritual ... just a lot of different things. It was interesting. Not a book that will pull you in for a very involved plot, but it pulled me in for other reasons.

This is my "read-before-sleep" book. Hopefully it will fit the criteria. A read-before-sleep has to be interesting, but not too interesting, so it's easy enough to put down when I get tired.
