This book is the written version of the Tonari no Totoro movie by Studio Ghibli. It has a lot of illustrations from the book which are a pleasure to look at if you like the style. Also, the text itself summarizes the plot very well. The Japanese is fairly easy - there are only a few kanji (like 雨、森、...) but it all has Furigana next to eat. The amount of pictures and the use of simple grammar makes it easy to understand for beginners of Japanese (and Japanese kids of course). The whole story is so lovely
