English poet of the second generation of Romantic poets John Keats died #OTD in 1821.

When Keats died at 25, he had been writing poetry for only about six years, and publishing for only four. His first poem, the sonnet O Solitude, appeared in the Examiner in May 1816, while his collection Lamia, Isabella, The Eve of St. Agnes and other poems was published in July 1820 before his last visit to Rome. via @wikipedia

Dutch Philosopher Baruch Spinoza died #OTD in 1677. Spinoza's philosophy encompasses nearly every area of philosophical discourse, including metaphysics, epistemology, political philosophy, ethics, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of science. The publication of the Tractatus Theologico-Politicus in 1670 made Spinoza notorious. Although his name did not appear on the work, he was quickly known as its author.
