Review of 'The Bear and the Nightingale' on 'Storygraph'

Gritty like a true fairytale. Interesting and entertaining but not overwhelming. I guess I've read too much historical fiction, especially about "misunderstood" women, and I'm simply spoiled. Also quite slow, probably because it's the first part of a trilogy.
