This is a photograph of the hugely-missed author Terry Pratchett. He is an older white man, with a trimmed white beard and glasses. He is (as was customary for him) wearing a black hat and on top of the hat there are two starlings. Terry is laughing.

Now the whole point about the footnotes and Alt Text is that both of them allow the author to go off at a wild tangent from the original point being made. Pratchett made extensive use of them throughout his writing.

A good example would be a discussion about why there might be starlings on his hat, and if that's what he's laughing. I'll assume it is -- after all, who wouldn't want to laugh if their hat had starlings on it -- but it could be anything. Maybe he's giggling at a remembered reference from one of the footnotes in his own books.

I must stop believing hype and awards when it comes to books. This book features not a single likeable character. It finishes suddenly with no closure. A depressing read that constantly felt on the edge of a good story but never quite made it.

There may be fairy bread. Not guaranteeing, but I've always wanted to have fairy bread at a book launch. 😊

You're looking at a book launch celebration poster for the book Tiny Moments of Joy, which will be held at Quiet Dog Gallery, 27th November, 5:30pm, free entre. It's done on a theme of deep pink and white with a bit of orange. There are some fern decorations. The book cover, which has ferns and is a deep pink is there. The font is serif. The formatting should hopefully not embarrass this author who is mid week into a book launch week and is potentially at the underpants on the outside stage of sanity but rather enjoying herself.
