I enjoyed the plot and characters of this book. However, I had some trouble telling which character was speaking at times. The author's writing style ran conversations together with weird paragraph breaks. Sometimes I had to read a passage several times to figure out who was saying what. I'm going to read the next book in the series to see if this gets any better. (It may just be a matter of him needing a different editor.)
Reviews and Comments
My reading tends to go in spurts. I love mysteries and suspense, poetry, history, cookbooks, bios, photography collections (ok, anything.). I’m open to any recommendations, especially trying to discover and read great BIPOC authors.
