This book fall into the "quick read" category. It won't make you think too much, but that's just fine if that's what you're looking for. A very good action book with more than enough depth to keep you engaged.

Magic in this book is portrayed as having evolved into an adjunct legal system. So that magicians are like lawyers. It's one of the interesting twists in this book, and there are lots more.

I couldn't put it down. The characterization was so up close and personal. I felt like they were real people. Plus: War! Dragons! Court Intrigue!

Plus other cool stuff I won't spoil.
