Well I didn't meet my goal of reading 6 books in 2023 so I guess we'll keep the goal the same for 24.

I read sapphic romance as a vice, and other books as I find them interesting. I have committed to reading through Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and so that will be the backbone of my reading for the foreseable future. Probably a discworld followed by romance, and onto the next discworld. Other stories may sneak in there.

I'm really not a bookworm. Reading isn't my passion and it can be a struggle to get going with a book, especially in the first half. That being said, once a story gets going I look forward to picking the book back up and the story really has got going here and it's been pretty good from the start. Looking forward to the second half now! ...even if it does have to have the obligatory sad "something has to get between them" portion of the story.

A fun adventure that is difficult to put down.

This is the second book I've read from Terry Pratchett and the second book in the Night Watch series of Discworld novels. I've come to expect from Pratchett copious quantities of punnery, fun whimsical characters, and a deep seated feeling that something is not quite right with the universe. But the books are FUN. I look forward to the next one.
We continue the story of Vimes, Carrot, Colon, and Nobby but also get to meet some new recruits. We get to know the city in greater detail, and we get a rousing whodunnit type story for the men to figure out! This is a fun adventure and makes for light reading that is difficult to put down.
