Reigniting my reading flame with some community. Reading whatever I find interesting in all the little free libraries around my city, listening to audiobooks on the library apps/youtube, and scooping up free books on kindle. I honestly don't remember the last time I paid for a book 🙃 Probably because I'm not that picky, I'll read almost anything.

Slowly shelving things I've read since 2013 and reviewing them (or what I remember of them anyways)

Trying to limit myself to four books at a time: one English novel, one Spanish novel, one informational book, and one audiobook.

Suzanne Collins: The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1) (2008)

COULD YOU SURVIVE ON YOUR OWN, IN THE WILD, WITH EVERYONE OUT TO MAKE SURE …

Why haven't I read the rest of them?

I honestly don't know, because I really enjoyed this book back in my early 20s. Enough that I could compare it to the movie. I definitely need to read them all soon.

Carlos Ruiz Zafón: The Shadow of the Wind (The Cemetery of Forgotten Books, #1) (Paperback, 2005, Penguin Books)

Barcelona, 1945: A city slowly heals from its war wounds, and Daniel, an antiquarian book …

Another oldie but a goodie

It's been a long time since I've read this but I know that I loved it and was actually laughing at some parts. I'm going to have to read it again soon and continue the story this time! It's been sitting on my shelf patiently waiting, like an old friend.

The Teachings of Don Juan (Paperback, 1968, Simon & Schuster)

First book I read about the power of plant medicine

I liked what he was writing about, but I don't like how he wrote it. It definitely got younger me more interested in learning about shamanic experiences and plant medicine, but it was very hard to get through some parts.

reviewed Life of Pi by Yann Martel

Better than the movie

I read this a long time ago because a friend suggested it, but I remember enjoying it. (Definitely more than I did the movie)
