The Fifth Seduction is the second in my love-triangle Entangled Hearts Series, following Flicka's LOVERS. Both lead characters in each novel are Hollywood producers. I revealed the world of Hollywood and secret love stories for each book.

The Fifth Seduction is the second book in my Entangled Hearts Series of romance novels. The protagonist in each book is a Hollywood producer. So was I in another life. The world of filmmaking, glamour, travel, and affairs is central to the plots of both books. I saw much of what I write about, up close and personal. The Fifth Seduction received a nice review from booklife reviews.

Das Buch schließt mit mehreren so offensichtlichen Cliffhangern, dass der nächste Band ein Muss darstellt, will man mit der Geschichte etwas anfangen. Das stört mich gewaltig, da vor dem Lesen nicht ersichtlich war, dass die Geschichte dann doch eine Trilogie ist. Muss mich jetzt also entscheiden, ob ich mit der unfertigen Geschichte leben will.

Die Motivation Band zwei und drei zu lesen ist nicht so hoch, denn der zu Beginn vorhandene Humor kommt im Verlauf des Buches recht schnell abhanden und die Erzählweise ist nicht konstant. Manches wird sehr genau und detailreich beschrieben, bei anderem klafft dann eine erzählerische Lßcke als ob die Energie oder Phantasie ausgegangen wäre. Manches ist auch einfach zu unlogisch oder in sich nicht schlßssig.

Das Buch hat mich unterhalten und war stellenweise auch spannend und fesselnd, in der Gesamtschau dann dann aber eher enttäuschend. Doch nur ein Keks, obwohl man nach dem ersten …

Janet and Estes on their porch in the 1960s. Where they lived, in the heart of Appalachia, was rife for real crime stories. Shady sheriffs, grifters. I stumbled upon a shady sheriff in 2017, and after researching that town and the bad lawman and his cronies, I wrote a novella: GOOD OL' BOY, published in '23. I also learned that crime was not my thing.

Janet and her husband Estes in the 1960s. I wrote a book about the crimes committed by lawmen in their neck of the Appalachian woods. It is titled GOOD OL' BOY, and it was written under the pen name, N.J. Edwards. I didn't want any of the creeps I wrote about, knowing my true identity, ha.
My first attempt at being an author in '23 centered around the true crimes I learned about in a remote area of Appalachia. I wrote under the pen name, N.J. Edwards, mainly out of concern for my safety. Even though the book was a fictionalized account of crimes by lawmen, enough people knew I was researching the area. I gave up crime writing after this book. Switched to trashy romance.

I've been a for about 25 years. It's "the" book in that it's scooped up several of my other story ideas and merged it into a single behemoth. It's a speculative story with an alternate world, some things that characters would call , and an epic story at the heart.

This year I decided that while I won't likely finish until I retire and have time to focus on writing, I can at least bring the process and world-building forward into the public eye.
