The speaks! (now with subtitles!)

"We decided to come support our friend Toad. (aka The ) He's a friend from another pond.

They are calling Portland an explosive fire-ridden sort of warland, which it's not, because we're here."

This would be good for Jimmy Kimmel's show.

Edited cover image to highlight the phrase:

"He's a friend from another pond."

The antifascist frog, alongside Freedom Chicken, regularly protests outside the facility in . Obviously, nobody wears a costume like that to do any violence; it's to ridicule the Nazis and amuse your own side, as I've learned.

A few days ago I saw a video in which a Nazi agent sprayed pepper spray into the air hole of the frog costume, in an effort to cause serious harm to an obviously nonviolent protester.

The frog is back at the facility like nothing happened.

So far the reported military deployment to Portland seems to be all bluster. All of the increase in military aircraft I saw at PDX are explained by invited performers in the Oregon Int'l Airshow this weekend in McMinnville. An article by KGW (NBC Portland) credits a phone call from Oregon Governor Tina Kotek with talking POTUS down from his unrealistic deployment based on bogus reports from his social media echo chamber. https://www.kgw.com/article/news/local/trump-seems-to-back-off-portland-military-plan/283-e9c6bdfb-92d6-4881-bb74-09bb325a5270

So…this is it. The end of everything as we know it. The escalation that we’ve feared.

“Full force.”

Portland is about to become ground zero for live rounds and the civil war between fascism and everything that is good.

I’m very, very frightened for what is upon us here. In my own backyard, where kids are playing and people are walking by the river. The propaganda is insanity.

💔😭

I'm just running my own instance here, so I don't have a ton of reach.

I'd love it if any of you who are willing would boost/quote this post.

My current SRE role is coming to an end, and the current market is scary.

The most current project was getting 3 line-of-business applications (for a national retailer!) moved to AWS, with some infra design, and lots of Terraform and Ansible.

I've got some Python chops, too.

I'm looking for a new role, remote preferred, or local to the PDX area.
