This week Simon and Eugene look at the Bugs episode Twin Geeks, and discuss their disappointment at the size of this episodes’s explosions, whether lawyers are as scarce as police in Bugs Land, and they lament the lack of eccentric British gauge collectors in this episode.

Next week: Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, Escape from Wedded Bliss
Next time when we look at Bugs, it’s the 2-part series finale Money Spiders & The Enemy Within

Simon and Eugene look Season 4, Episode 5 of Bugs, Hell and High Water. They discuss how this throws back to earlier Bugs episodes, whether Alex commits the most unethical act seen in the show so far, and if you work on defense contracts and give your computer to a museum, whether you should check what’s on it first.

Today’s waddle in local patch was quiet. Birds were hiding in the bushes and flying away as soon As they spotted me. Luckily there were plenty of mushroom and insects. Here are some photos of the latter.

they're boinking, don't look 🙈

Japanese Beetles (Popillia japonica)

These beetles have been detected in airports on the west coast of the United States since the 1940s.

Only three were found in Washington State in 2020, but from late June to September 3, 2021, there were over 20,000 found in Grandview alone.

@futurebird So tell me, she who knows, I've got some bugs coming up in the next section of my series of novellas. What's a good documentary on ant behaviour, possibly bees, for me to steal some cool bits for my alien bugs? My characters will be literally crawling into the nest, so I need a good primer. A lecture recorded at a university might also work.
