random thought about science fiction: it's widely known that it was female authors and especially their fondness of the Kirk/Spock pairing that kept Trek alive between the series (and created slash fiction. The slash in slash fiction is literally the one between Kirk and Spock).

But idly thinking about pre-TNG science fiction I realized that I can come up with multiple published books where the "tall, dark, handsome" trope was a Klingon (or the closest equivalent in the setting).

Six weeks to the day when I first cast this on, and I’m happy to tell you that the #Startrek double #knitting scarf is complete!

This has been such a fun, and very challenging, project to make, at times feeling like it was never going to end.

I decided to make it fully, including the beads and I also added a fringe because every scarf needs a fringe if you ask me!

This is a surprise Christmas gift for a very close friend who’s a huge fan, I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he gets it!

I’m going to take a break from knitting now for this month, but there’s lots of other fun stuff lined up for next year.

I know I'm late to the party, but as my Disney+ subscription is nearly over, I finally watched The Orville. I. Fracking. Loved. It.

It started out funny, and ended sweet and deep and tackling real life issues in a way Seth McFarland does so well.

Highly encouraged to watch if you like SciFi/Star Trek/Star Wars, as Seth pays homage to all of them.
