🚸 Schools out, forever! A collection of abandoned classrooms from around the world - Part 2

When abandoned, forgotten schools often enter a kind of stasis. The children and teachers pack up their belongings and exit for the last time, leaving silent spaces left to decay and the silent passing of the years.

🏛️🚇 opened two subway stations near the that function as underground , displaying 2,000-year-old thermal baths, military barracks, and hundreds of discovered during their decade-long construction.

The stations required careful archaeological excavation that uncovered Republic townhouses, 28 ancient wells, and perfectly preserved military facilities with frescoes and mosaics.

Did you ever have a job where you wondered "how the hell am I in charge of this? Wtf?!".

Going through old photos I was reminded of the time in 2007 I went to as a guide & bike mechanic for Dutch cycling holiday operator CycleTours.

Little thread. Maybe someone besides me gets joy out of it :-)

For context. Cycletours offered package group holidays where you'd cycle from campsite to campsite while a cook & mechanic provide a basecamp, food, support etc.

Our support vehicle was Large White Van with some stickers. Here the rear end is shown with the damage sustained from reversing into a tree
