In last night’s Kids on Horses game, the party was informed about a Historical Society in the Druidic enclave within the Ink Forest.

Similar to how Catholic nuns are all named Mary, every one of the historians will be named Victor.

Because history is written by the victors.

Monks in have a bit of an image problem, stemming mostly from being called specifically monk, and nobody quite agreeing to what that should mean and how it should be expressed in game terms.

Notably, for a game that otherwise has a very western idea of society, monks are taken directly from Chinese wuxia and plopped in with barely an explanation of how that works.

Thinking about some houserules for my Labyrinth lord () campaign:
Attending a church service of a friendly faith costs a tithe (lets say 50gp), but can give a small amount of xp, and the chance of receiving a bless spell until the next combat on a successful (!) spell save. It also has the small chance of imparting a divine quest (Quest spell) on a critical failure of that roll.

I should make up a list of appropriate quests.
