Those who recently blamed the assassination of Charlie Kirk as the result of "Leftist hate and violence" are now saying that if a Leftist dies it's only natural that someone would kill them because of their views.

Fact checks:
1) Rob Reiner's death was a family tragedy, not political.

2) Charlie Kirk was a racist who encouraged doxxing, threats, violence, and harassment towards Black people, women, and academics. He was not a victim of hate. He was killed by an extremist more alt-right than himself.

Today in Labor History November 25, 1947: The "Hollywood Ten" were blacklisted by Hollywood movie studios for refusing to testify before the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC). The blacklist lasted for 13 years, when Dalton Trumbo, a former Communist Party member, was finally credited as the screenwriter of the films “Exodus” and “Spartacus.” Some of the stars accused of having Communist ties included Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney, Katharine Hepburn and Fredric March. In 1941, Walt Disney blamed "Communist agitation" for the cartoonists and animators' strike. In 1945, Gerald L. K. Smith, founder of the fascist America First Party, began giving speeches attacking the "alien minded Russian Jews in Hollywood." Ronald Reagan, who was president of the actor’s union, testified before HUAC that a clique within the union was using "communist-like tactics." His first wife, actress Jane Wyman, blamed his allegations against friends and colleagues as a factor leading to their divorce.

Daniel Sanchez is facing federal charges for what free speech advocates say is a clear attack on the First Amendment.

"...Daniel “Des” Sanchez is accused of transporting a box that contained “Antifa materials” after the incident, supposedly to conceal evidence against his wife, Maricela Rueda, who was there.

But the boxed materials aren’t Molotov cocktails, pipe bombs, or whatever MAGA officials claim “Antifa” uses to wage its imaginary war on America. As prosecutors laid out in the July criminal complaint that led to the indictment, they were zines and pamphlets. Some contain controversial ideas — one was titled “Insurrectionary Anarchy” — but they’re fully constitutionally protected free speech...."

On the 4th October, 1936, the British Union of Fascists had planned a march to the East End of London.

Despite the petition of East Londoners, with 100,000 signatures over two days, the Home Office declined to ban the march. Authorities refused to allow a counter-march by the Ex-Servicemen's Movement Against Fascism, because the fascists had organised their march first.

On the day, around 3,000 fascists turned up for the march, protected by more than double that number in police.

The fascists and police were resisted by over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND anti-fascists who erected barricades, chanting "They Shall Not Pass". Police attempted to dismantle the barricades and clear a path for the fascists, and were pelted with rotten vegetables, and the contents of chamber-pots thrown from upstairs residents.

There's a damn good reason why fascism had a hard time establishing itself in the UK; I'm pretty sure it wasn't the government nor the police.

WPRI: RI judge intervenes after ICE wrongfully detains Superior Court intern

"Multiple sources told Target 12 that Rhode Island sheriffs earlier noticed someone taking photos of the intern inside the courthouse and in Superior Court Judge McBurney’s courtroom. When approached, the individual identified himself as an ICE agent and was told to abide by standard courthouse rules, and to stop taking pictures.

The intern was reportedly shaken, so McBurney offered to drive him home. ICE agents then surrounded the judge’s car and demanded everyone to exit the vehicle, threatening to smash in the windows if they did not comply.

Dana Smith, Head of Security Operations for R.I. Superior Court, confronted the agents and told both the judge and the intern to stay inside the car. After an argument, ICE confirmed they had misidentified the teen and left. The intern was released once his ID was checked.

“This egregious incident underscores both the community’s and the Judiciary’s concerns about how ICE is conducting its operations in Rhode Island,” R.I. Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell said. "
