Oh, I've been busy and missed this news the other day - MLH acquired DEV.

I'm a fan of @jonmarkgo at MLH and Ben and team at DEV, and this could be a good combination. Naturally, I'd also encourage them to consider that the future is open and that there's a vibrant developer community in the ... 🙂 Forem/DEV would be great with ActivityPub!

I can't agree with this more. I was just telling an IRL friend yesterday that the people of the have become really important to me, to my delight and surprise. I live in a relatively rural place and don't have a lot of music friends here, and I didn't realize how hard that was until you lovely people relieved some of that pressure with your wit, experience, and great conversation.

One of the wonderful things about the are the people you meet. Especially when your isolated from your community. I so rarely get to interact with other musicians that it is always a pleasure to talk to them and hear them perform.

In that spirit I yesterday had the opportunity to listen to a livestream by @alisynthesis . I had never heard her music before but had a fantastic evening listening to her. If you don't know her then do take a listen. I will certainly be listening to more of her.
