As I have mentioned before, I believe that commercial platforms are a dire threat to the long-term survival of human civilization (see also: , ), and thus (barring any better alternatives) the needs to grow and replace them.

1. A "job networking" site, similar to . Most of us live in a situation where we have to work for a living, and hunting for prospective job opportunities and business connections is useful. This is where we can post our CVs and talk about our field of business.

2. A "Question and Answer" site, similar to . Having some way of people publicly asking questions that can be publicly …

"Friendship books" were the of the 17th and 18th centuries (without the ads and data mining). Here's a fine example of one begun in 1795 by the aunt of the poet Felicia Dorothea Browne: https://publicdomainreview.org/collection/the-friendship-book-of-anne-wagner-1795-1834

Hey Meta, don't leave us on read 👻

Over 10k people have said no to Stalker Ads, so get them off our feed!

This week ORG joined Good Law Project outside Meta's offices in a joint action with People vs Big Tech and Eko to ask why they've done nothing 🤷‍♂️

You have a legal right to say no to Stalker Ads on Meta 🫵
