Natasha Pulley seems to write the same characters in different AUs over and over again, which would have been a problem if the characters weren’t amazing and her AUs not well-crafted (and in this case, well-researched). For me, someone with an interest in the history of the Soviet Union, international relations, and nuclear physics, this book was a treat.
