Review of 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens' on 'Goodreads'

If you have seen the movie, there is no reason to read the book. It just feels like someone describing the movie. There is no backstory, context, emotional depth, or even additional plot (aside from a brief, uninteresting sequence featuring Poe).

I'm not blaming the author; presumably Disney didn't give him any leeway to expand on the story as presented by the movie.
