mandy reviewed Allow Me to Introduce Myself by Onyi Nwabineli

Wow. What a ride. It's a long time since I've listened to a book that fascinated me like this one. It's one of those audiobooks that I raced through, carefully setting time aside each day to spend with it. As a mostly lapsed blogger, I became increasingly thankful for all the times I didn't sell the souls of me and my family (or readers) to the highest bidder. The world of influencers has always felt very ick and this book validates that feeling to the max. Anyway, loads and loads of thoughts on this one.
Things I loved:
Nneka Okoye's narration
Loki, Simi and Christian
Onyi Nwabineli's way with words
Slices of Nigerian life both in Nigeria and in the diaspora
Things like resonated like hell with me: bad fathers and evil stepmothers. Nwabineli writes so powerfully about broken, unfixable relationships
