Am I the only one who liked the ending? I really enjoyed this book the most out of the whole trilogy. The first book was okay and the second book does not even hold any memories in my mind. I loved the action, the romance, the scandal, I loved all of it! Of course, this doesn't mean that I don't hold any complaints against this book.

Most of the women I see here are complaining about the fact that Kartik turned into a tree. While I was greatly saddened by this (I even held back tears... I'm such a hopless romantic), I did like the ending. Life does not always turn out like you would hope to be. There are rarely any happy endings. Gemma chooses to move on with life despite all her tragedies.

Just because it's fantasy does not mean that everything will be so happy and dandy in the end. Which is why the Twilight series pissed me off to no end.

Call me pessismistic all you want, I believe that I'm just simply realistic. The cup is not half empty or half full. It is just there.
