Content warning this book has plot twists (yes, really, even though it's romance)
A big, sweeping novel about family and love and mostly family. There are plot twists. I wondered why it was a novel about Margaret when it was supposed to be a love story about Alice and Hayden - but the very last twist made things become clear.
I do think this focused so much on being a mystery about family that the romance felt a bit contrived. We didn't get to see the leads get to know each other - we just got to see them get to know Margaret. Which was a choice. That's the part that brings it to four for me. Maybe even more like a 3.5.
