I have read The Invisible Man more times than I care to think about and it always, always blows me away. HG Wells was a genius, his creativity and talent undeniable and whilst books such as The War of The Worlds are without doubt fantastic?
It is The Invisible Man that I always found to be one of his greatest works because there was always that thought in my mind of ’What if?’
What if someone found a way to be truly invisible, where the realm of fantasy crossed into reality.
What would they do?
How would it be done?
What would the effect be on their body?
When I first read it, I think I was ten - I wanted to be invisible so I could hide in my favourite bookshop and read all night. It seemed exciting and clearly, my love of books went over the idea of …

I still have that love for the ’what if’ that comes from HG Wells work.
I truly believe it to be a classic and a must for anyone who loves the magic that impossibility and improbability gives.
