She's a sexy single, he's her sentient front door. And he's going to protect her from her creepy superintendent who's out to harm her. I didn't exactly know what I was getting into when I bought the book, but it got what I hoped for: Entertainment. Apparently this novella started out as a joke based on the metaphors of open door/ closed door romance, which distinguishes between stories in which sex scenes are either explicitly told (as if the bedroom door is left open) or implied (closed door).
The author provides a detailed list of content considerations, and handles the kinky sex scenes well.
In this romance, one partner is an actual door (who turns into a human). It's hotter than expected, handling the sensual experiences of a door really well. It's very much focused on the fun and the action - the book is short and quick to read. …
