Much more of a classic Crichton novel. It's different in its style, but definitely his. I'm so glad Micro wasn't the final part of his legacy. This one, for the subject matter, is much better. This and Pirate Latitudes are just tastes of the period historical fiction work he was capable and sadly we won't get more of.
