The poems of Nakahara Chūya

this was such an unexpected pleasure to read.

simply beautiful and sad, very melancholic themes and imagery that I will go back to reading for sure.
Goat Songs were definitely the best of all but there were also some precious gems in the other poems collections.

Nakahara seemed to be a man prone to sadness and loneliness and I always read the writings of such people with such empathy that I cannot help hoping to keep their words close to my heart for as long as I am alive.
