I've never been a CLAMP fan. I never got into Chobits or xxHolic or anything. I was only ever a fan of the English dub of Cardcaptor Sakura. Since Cardcaptor Sakura was a big part in my childhood, I wanted to give CLAMP a chance. Their art, as always, is so cute and bubbly yet beautiful at the same time. But great art is the only thing good about this new series.
Kobato is extremely dumb. So much that it's usually not cute. Her clumsiness is annoying. Her happy go lucky attitude is almost, if not more, annoying than her clumsiness. I can't relate, sympathize, or even like her. Basically, she's eye candy.
I really hope that I'll find CLAMP worth it one of these days. Until then, I'll stick with my Sakurai Machiko.
