It is rare that I don't see the ending coming! Bravo, Mr. Hauty!
The rest of the book was pretty good. I wasn't as disappointed by some of the aspects that annoyed others. For example, I thought the little asides about characters' futures were sort of funny. Some people talk about the writing being more suitable to a screenplay. I could see that, but it didn't really diminish my experience.
Ultimately, I enjoyed this and consider it a better-than-average read.
