Joel A reviewed Best Thing I Ever Tasted by Sallie Tisdale
Review of 'Best Thing I Ever Tasted' on 'LibraryThing'
4 stars
I wavered between finding this book fascinating, and not being able to pick it up. Some of the author's insights about the way we learn about food from our parents, and the evolution of food in the late 20th century, and dieting, are thoughtful, and, well, insightful. Certainly it resonated with my trying to get my children to eat healthily, and with trying to find the energy to cook in a busy life. Other bits of the book, especially some of the lengthier auto-biographical bits, are not nearly as interesting.
