Rob Warner reviewed Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes
Review of 'Year of Yes' on 'Goodreads'
4 stars
I've been making a concerted effort to listen to other types of voices in my reading, and I've been rewarded for that. I don't think I've ever read a book like this -- it felt more like a stream-of-consciousness, psychiatrist-couch, soul-bearing, therapeutic monologue. I found it funny, entertaining, insightful, revealing, and arresting, all at once. I felt honored by the peeks into her family, friendships, fears, and flaws.
