Review of 'Fireman' on 'Goodreads'

I randomly picked this up and was suprised to find out that this is a book about a pandemic. Go figure, just what you need these days. In this pandemic, a spore causes a condition called Dragonscale, which causes people to self-incinerate. Whole cities, whole states are going up in flames, and the non-affected form kill squads to kill the burners.

Our protagonist is Harper, a pregnant nurse, who gets the Dragonscale and whose husband then tries to kill her. She is saved by a group of survivors of the Dragonscale who have found a way to deal with the spore, including the titular Fireman, who can control his fire at will.

But of course, the camp of survivors struggles and there's unrest within the group...

Well-written, it's not exactly up to my favorite pandemic novel The Stand, but writing clearly runs in this family. I was well-entertained.
